Welcome to Yorkhouse Kennels located just outside of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We are home to Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) registered Yorkshire Terriers and Chinese Cresteds (Hairless and Powderpuffs). I have been breeding Yorkshire Terriers for over 26 years now, and have been breeding Chinese Cresteds (Hairless and Powderpuff) since 2001. I am a member in good standing with the Canadian Kennel Club since 1986 and I have been involved in exhibiting my dogs since 1999. Since then I have produced over 10 Yorkshire Terrier champions and 6 Chinese Crested champions with very limited showing.

All of the dogs I breed are champion sired, and come from some of the top bloodlines. In addition, all breeding stock is CERF tested and Optigen tested. Pedigrees for my Yorkshire Terriers include lines such as Shakespeare, Stardust, Jubilee, Pastoral, Durrer, Montclair, Jentre, Glaranik, Lamplighter, Camparis, and Crystal Waters. Yorkhouse Yorkshire Terriers are known for their silky coats, level top lines, and perfect tail sets, in addition to soundness of mind/body, and true terrier temperament and spirit. Pedigrees for my Chinese Cresteds include Rompford, Nauset, Crestars, Softail, and many others. Pedigrees for all dogs are available for viewing on the website located next to their pictures, and in addition I have a link to the Chinese Crested Registry where you can research pedigrees with photos included for most Chinese Cresteds.  

My goal is to produce champion show dogs, and all breeding is planned well in advance in hopes of producing that ultimate show dog whether it be a Yorkie or a Crested. All Yorkhouse dogs are bred for health first and foremost, then temperament, type, and conformation while staying true to the AKC and CKC standard. I have a limited number of litters per year, and although I use a selective breeding program not all dogs are cut out for the show ring, so we do have pet puppies available for placement from time to time. 

All pets are sold on a non-breeding and a spay/neuter contract, or go to their new pet homes already spayed or neutered. I do screen applicants wishing to purchase dogs whether it be as a pet, or for breeding/showing so don’t be offended if I ask a lot of questions. All of my dogs are sold with current vaccinations and dewormings, CKC registration papers within 6 months from the date of purchase, a Royal Canin puppy starter kit including a free bag of dog food, 6 weeks of puppy health insurance from Petplan, and a 1 year written health guarantee.

All my puppies are raised in a busy home with lots of kids and plenty of animals. When they are ready to leave they are very socialized, and ready to be a part of your family.
